What is obesity?

WHO data tells that obesity is a worldwide problem now and no more restricted to west alone. 1.9 billion people were overweight in 2014 and of these 600 million people were obese. Nearly 15 % of the adult population was either overweight or obese in 2014. That is a staggering number of people.
Know if you are obese or overweight
To determine if you are overweight or obese, your BMI needs to be evaluated. BMI is body mass index. BMI greater than or equal to 25 is overweight and BMI greater than or equal to thirty is obese. To calculate your BMI take your weight in kilograms and divide it by the square of your height in meters (kg/m2). Now that you know whether you are overweight or obese, it is time to control obesity or your weight if you are overweight.
